Holy Spirit and Saint Peter the Apostle Religious EducationFor 2017-2018 Class Calendar, please click on link to right >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Holy Spirit Parish and our sister parish Saint Peter the Apostle are dedicated to providing our students with a superior Catholic curriculum and classroom activities to foster skills which will enable them to: Make moral choices - Solve problems - Access the deposit of Faith Our belief is, with these skills our students become contributing members of the Church, home, school, and community. We achieve this commitment with dedicated and proficient catechists who lead by example and deliver the timeless teachings of the Catholic Church in safe and student centered classrooms. Our atmosphere nurtures mutual respect and supports an equality of students from all stations of the community. We share in the responsibility started in the family and support their primary faith formation as we enhance the religious education of their children. Parish students who attend area public schools are expected to attend Religious Education classes. Those in Catholic schools are also welcome. Along with the study of our Catholic Faith our students are prepared for the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. In order to receive these sacraments, the Diocese of Wilmington REQUIRES a child be enrolled in a program for a minimum of two (2) consecutive years before reception of the sacrament. Classes for the school year 2017- 2018 start on SEPTEMBER 10, 2017 in Holy Spirit's Religious Education Wing for both parishes. If you have children eligible for Religious Education, and they have not been registered, please call Patty Riccio or Judy Burtell at (302) 658-1069 immediately to see if space is still available. |
