CATECHISTS AND AIDES

This committee is responsible for the Spiritual Formation and Religious Education of every member of our parish.
This committee is for anyone who has a desire to share their faith through action and prayer and a willingness to share the love of God with others. This group plans and implements programs and activities that enable people to experience God in Church and community through faith sharing, welcoming and reaching out.
At the present time, our books are in storage. In the future we hope to have a library where parishioners may come and be able to borrow religious books.
On Sunday mornings, our parish offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade 8 for children who do not attend a Catholic school. We always are in need of adults to teach our young parishioners the beliefs of our faith. We also need aides in the classrooms to assist the teachers. Training is available for catechists.
Special classes are offered to help parents instruct their children to celebrate the sacraments. The Diocese of Wilmington requires a child be enrolled in a program for two (2) consecutive years before reception of the sacrament. Contact the Religious Education Office for more information and/or registration.
This committee offers sessions twice a year to those who have lost a loved one.
